Houstonians will soon experience the city’s newest indoor entertainment facility. Opening summer 2018 in Katy, iRace will offer go-karting, laser tag, virtual reality, NASCAR simulators, bowling, arcade games and more. The high-performance, high-speed indoor karting center will feature a dual-level race course with 1,200 feet of lower-level and 800 feet of upper-level track.
“The summer months are hot so we aim to provide visitors with a state-of-the-art facility chock-full of games and activities,” said Mike Barron, co-owner and general contractor for iRace. “The go-kart area will be one-of-a-kind in the state of Texas.”
The building, located off Katy Ranch Rd. near Altitude Trampoline Park and Main Event Entertainment, is currently under construction, but once completed will host food and beverage, meeting space, and party rooms along with a multitude of entertainment options.
iRace Katy plans to open around Memorial Day in May. This location will serve as the first in its franchise. Other locations set to open in the next year include Baytown, Texas and North Carolina.
